ENROLMENT IN ESPERANCE EDUCATION SUPPORT CENTRE

Students with disability can apply to enrol in our school which is an equiped inclusive school with specialist facilities and staff.

Esperance Education Support Centre may offer enrolment to students in the following diagnostic disability categories:

• Students with an Intellectual Disability or Global Development Delay and who are eligible for an Individual Disability Allocation under this category.
• Students with eligibility for an Individual Disability Allocation for Autism Spectrum Disorder and a demonstrated high educational need.
• Students who have a diagnosis (or pending) of Autism and are not achieving educational outcomes due to a lack of engagement or attendance can be considered for enrolment at our school, regardless of their perceived academic potential.

   

Please note that enrolment at Esperance Education Support Centre is based on eligibility criteria and will be assessed on a case by case basis. The school Principal will contact you to discuss your childs needs and diagnosis. 

It is important that all parents and carers of eligible students understand their right to enrol their child at the Esperance Education Support Centre. When we meet with parents and carers, we always explain their right to choose the best educational environment for their child, and we encourage them to speak to other schools so that they can make an informed decision as to the educational environment in which their child will flourish.
